People have always traveled, dating back to our days as nomads, following migrating herds. People have always felt the urge to leave their home and venture out for new destinations, so what are the top tourist destinations?
As my grandmother used to say, who travels has a story to tell and can learn from other culture and people. In our professional life this educates us a lot to adopt it into business ethics and culture.
The itch to explore is the reason we are now connected to every corner of the earth. The question is, do we keep going back to the same places, or do our most popular destinations change, let’s have a look at “The Evolution of Top Tourist Destinations”?
Global tourism has more than doubled in the past twenty years from 540 million to 1.1 billion. To get an idea of how global tourism has evolved over that time, Chicago Line Cruises worked to break down inbound tourism data from 50 countries around the world and turn the data into an infographic.
The goal here was to see if tourists are continuously traveling to the same places and if popular destinations are evolving over time.
Living in the Middle East we have not been surprised that two destinations are on the radar on the global scale, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. Even if I would say, Saudi Arabia and tourists, well I would not call Pilger actual tourists, but statistics need to be written.
