The United Arab Emirates, sometimes simply called the Emirates, is a country in Western Asia (also known as the Middle East). Here meets the middle east (Arabic) culture with the westerns. Modern architecture, stunning constructions with the world largest man-made building, artificial islands and luxury in every aspect are only some attributes which come to our mind when we think about the United Arab Emirates.
We can see thousands of luxury cars on the road, every known fashion brand presented in the many malls spreading the country and a lot of gold along the gold souks over the country.
In the UAE also large international events are happing, and one of them is the upcoming Expo 2020 in Dubai.
The question might be asked, who are the people living here, who make the population 2018?
Multiple sources like the world bank and others say the population in the UAE is around 9.54 million people. Many years back the predictions had been a little more difficult, the government count was not very precise. Talking about the growth you can find sources from the government which show 2005 official 4.1 million people lived in the Emirate. In 2008 the official counts were around 4.8 million which doubled over 10 years later.
What changed dramatically is the ratio between male and female, over the year it changed, 72% are male vs 2.65 million female (28%).
