A study by the Advertising Specialty Institute 2016 found that “promotional products are one of the most impactful and cost-effective advertising mediums for businesses,” according to an infographic produced by Colourfast.
So which types of swag should you give away?
Half of all people who own promotional drinkware use it 2-3 times per week, according to the infographic, and a whopping 91% of people who own promotional USB drives keep them.
There is also no limitation when it comes to reaching your audience across the world. The infographic looks into the lifespan of promotional products with key figures and reasons why people keep them. Also important are the topics around finding the right promotional products for your business which requires a little analysis on – know your target audience, figure out your budget, ensure products are well designed and high quality and how to inform your customers correct. For sure don’t mess with the distribution, it’s not worth it to lose money because your channel was not right selected.
No matter which products you choose, calculating ROI can be challenging, the infographic admits; but it goes on to provide some simple formulas to determine the cost you pay per impression.
However, let’s ask ourself, what would be your favorite item which you would keep? For me personally, it would be something practical or a cap which is made with good quality and design. Design matters this is for sure otherwise I would consider keeping it.
